The Belbin® Team Roles profile was developed in the 1970’s by Dr Meredith Belbin, with his research team, at the world respected Henley Management College, with his research focusing on why some teams are more effective than others. These have been constantly improved and updated over the years with a wide range of reports available. Please follow the links below for PDF samples of reports available.
This is generated once an individual has completed their on line questionnaire and contains a Belbin profile, guidance and advice based on how the individual sees him or herself.
Once an individual has received Observer Assessments back from at least 4 Observers their report is upgraded to a Full Individual Report that shows how others view them compared to how they view themselves.
A Team Report identifies how groups of Individuals will perform together. In order to generate a Team Report each of the people making up that team will need to have completed an Individual Report (ideally, but not a mandatory to include their Observer Assessments)
This Report analyses the relationship between two individuals to see how they might work together. Each individual will need to generate a Belbin Individual Report so that the Working Relationships Report can be created.
The Belbin Job Report defines a specific job in terms of Belbin Team Roles. This definition is then matched to the individual being considered for that job, to determine their suitability for the role. Perfect when recruiting or for assessment centres.
With so much evidence that businesses perform better when their key players focus on their strengths and outsource their weaknesses, Belbin® Team Roles confirms and explains this perfectly. It does not put people in boxes, as your team roles may change over time, and is based on observation as well as substantial research. It has also been updated regularly and the reports are of a good quality. All in all it really makes a difference to the way people work in teams.
